"Controversies in Medicine and Neuroscience: Through the Prism of History, Neurobiology, and Bioethics (2023) is well worth reading and studying. It should be standard on all doctor’s bookshelves and among the interested laymen."

The Design and Optimization of Optical Filters for High Data Rates Optical Systems

This book presents a collection of research articles related to optical filters, commonly used on optical communication systems like the Bragg grating filter, the hybrid Solc filter, the stratified photonic crystal and the two dimensional photonic crystal fiber. These devices were designed and optimized to filter with a high accuracy one or more channels from multiplexed optical signals through the wavelength tenability, which was produced via the thermo-optic, electro-optic and strain effects.

Dr Fethallah Karim received his PhD degree from the Abou Bakr Belkaid University of Tlemcen, Algeria, in 2011, where he is currently an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Technology and Deputy Head of the Department of Telecommunications. He is also a member of the Laboratory of Telecommunications and works with the photonic research team. His research interests include optical communications, optical filters synthesis, tuneable optical switches, optical multiplexers, electronics, analog and digital communications.
