Dr Zlatan Begić graduated in law from the University of Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina (BH), and holds a Master’s degree in law from the University of Tuzla, BH, and a Doctorate degree in law from the University “Džemal Bijedić” Mostar, BH. His research interests cover constitutional law, comparative constitutional law, electoral law, human rights law and international public law.
As a secretary and member of the Expert group, he was engaged in a project regarding the constitutional reform of the Federation of BH supported by the US Embassy in BH and other projects related to reform processes and public law issues. Most of his publications relate to the problems of constitutional issues with special references to obligations from the European integration process and, in connection to that, the necessary reform of the actual constitutional system of BH.
Zlatan teaches courses at the University of Tuzla on Constitutional Law and Constitutional Institutions to undergraduate students; Electoral Law and Parliamentary Systems of Decision-Making to Master's students; and Constitutional Law-specific themes and Constitutional Judiciary in BH to Doctoral candidates.
He is a member of the editorial boards of the Journal of Politics and Law, the International Journal of Social Science Studies and Üniversitepark Bülten. He is also a member of the International Society of Public Law.
