Dr Wendy Flores-Fuentes

Dr Wendy Flores-Fuentes received her Bachelor’s degree in electronic engineering from the Autonomous University of Baja California, Mexico, in 2001, her Master’s degree in engineering from the Technological Institute of Mexicali, Mexico, in 2006, and her PhD degree in science and applied physics, with an emphasis on Optoelectronic Scanning Systems for SHM, from the Autonomous University of Baja California in 2014.

To date, she has authored 13 journal articles in journals published by Elsevier, IEEE, Emerald and Springer, five book chapters and one book (with Lambert Academic Publisher, Intech, IGI Global and Springer), as well as 27 conference proceedings articles in IEEE ISIE 2014-2017, IECON 2014, the World Congress on Engineering and Computer Science (IAENG 2013), IEEE Section Mexico IEEE ROCC2011, and the VII International Conference on Industrial Engineering ARGOS 2014. Recently, she has organized and participated as the Chair of Special Session on ‘‘Machine Vision, Control and Navigation’’ at IEEE ISIE 2015, 2016 and 2017.

She has been a reviewer of 11 articles for publications by Taylor & Francis, IEEE, Elsevier, and EEMJ (Gheorghe Asachi Technical University of Iasi). She has participated as an editor at Intech and IGI Global Publishers, and as an Editorial Board Advisor with IGI Global Publishers.

Currently, Wendy is a full-time Professor-Researcher in the Faculty of Engineering at the Autonomous University of Baja California, and is the coordinator of the physics area in the basic science department. She was incorporated into the CONACYT National Research System in 2015.
