Dr Vikas Jain is a general surgeon with a special interest in surgical oncology. He completed his graduate studies in medical sciences at Sawai Mansingh Medical College, India, and thereafter proceeded with postgraduate work in general and minimal access surgery in 2011. He completed his DNB general surgery residency programme in 2014 at Apollo Specialty Hospital, Madurai, India.
In 2015, Vikas joined the Asian Cancer Centre as a senior resident in surgical oncology. The Asian Cancer Centre is a teaching institute for the DNB matching programme, where he worked to get trained in oncosurgery and to train and teach general surgery residents. He is a lifetime member of many social organisations including the ASI (Association of Surgeons of India) and the AMASI (Association of Minimal Access Surgeons of India).
Vikashas around eight publications in different journals to his credit, as well as more than 12 presentations in national and international conferences, including in Hong Kong and Dubai. He has attended multiple surgical conferences and general academics meetings. Presently he is a reviewer and associate editor of several journals, with an active involvement in the publishing process.
