Professor Victor K. Muposhi

Victor K. Muposhi obtained his Doctor of Philosophy degree in Conservation Biology from Chinhoyi University of Technology, Zimbabwe, in 2016, his MSc in Conservation Biology in 2009 from Bindura University of Science Education (BUSE), Zimbabwe, a Bachelor of Environmental Sciences degree with honours in Wildlife and Rangeland Management in 2005 from BUSE, and a Certificate in Community Based Wildlife Management in 2009 from the Southern African Wildlife College, Zimbabwe.

He has extensive training and working experience in wildlife monitoring and study techniques, wildlife re-introduction programmes, sustainable use and wildlife off-takes, vegetation and rangeland assessments, and ecological modelling. He is an Associate Professor in the Department of Wildlife Ecology and Conservation at Chinhoyi University of Technology. He is also the Deputy Dean of the School of Wildlife, Ecology and Conservation and coordinator for the School's MSc in Biodiversity Conservation at the same institution.

Victor's main areas of research focus on biodiversity conservation, population and behavioural ecology, sustainable use, ecological modelling, and conservation science. He has published several refereed journal articles in regional and ISI indexed journals and is an active peer-reviewer for several journals including Mammal Reviews, the African Journal of Ecology, and the Journal of Arid Environments.
