Professor Tiziana Di Matteo

Econophysics

Tiziana Di Matteo is currently a Professor of Econophysics in the Department of Mathematics at King’s College London, where she teaches econophysics, complex networks and data science. A trained physicist, she obtained her degree and PhD from the University of Salerno, Italy, before assuming research roles at universities in Australia and Britain. She has authored over 90 papers and has given invited and keynote talks at major international conferences across the US, Europe and Asia, making her one of the world’s leaders in this field.

She is a member of the External Faculty of the Complexity Science Hub in Vienna, Austria. She is Co-Editor-in-Chief for the Journal of Network Theory in Finance, Editor of the European Physical Journal B and Guest Editor of several other volumes. She is co-founder of the Econophysics Network, and has also been a consultant for the Financial Services Authority and several hedge funds.
