Dr Timur Saliev has a background in medicine and engineering, obtaining his medical degree (MD) from Tashkent Pediatric Medical Institute, Uzbekistan, specializing in anesthesiology and intensive care, and studying for his PhD in Biophysics at the University of Dundee, UK. Currently, he is supervising projects related to biophysics at the Center for Life Sciences at Nazarbayev University, Kazakhstan.
His research interests include biophysics, nanomaterials, radiation biology and medicine, medical imaging, cancer research, drug and gene delivery systems, therapeutic ultrasound, electromagnetic fields, advanced microscopy, pharmacology, and the development of medical devices and instruments.
Timur has been actively publishing for a number of years and has over 40 publications to his name. He is currently editor of four international journals and serves as a referee for 11 international journals, including a range of biomedical publications.
