Suresh S. Balpande carried out his doctoral research on the design and optimization of energy harvester-based MEMS cantilever at RTM Nagpur University, India, and obtained his MTech degree in Digital Electronics at CSV Technical University, India (for which he received a gold medal), his Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering at RTM Nagpur University, and his Diploma in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering from the Bombay Technical Board, Mumbai. He has over 18 years of teaching experience and currently serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electronics Engineering at Shri Ramdeobaba College of Engineering and Management, Nagpur.

His research areas include MEMS, thin film devices, energy harvesting, and agriculture electronics. He is a reviewer for the SCI, WOS, and SCOPUS-indexed international journal Microsystem Technologies, Springer Nature, the Piezoelectric Energy Harvesting book series, INTECH publications, and the international journal Micro and Nanosystems. He is also a member of the Elsevier's behaviour research panel and the SSRN Chemistry Research Network. He has seven research papers in international journals including Sensors and Actuator A: Physical and Electronics Letters, 15 international conference publications, nine national conference publications and two technical magazine articles to his credit. He has published two copyrights and has one patent filed. He is currently serving as a reviewer and advisory committee member for more than 20 international conferences.

Suresh is associated with various industries including OFIL, Ordnance Factory, Hindalco Industries, and Mahindra and Mahindra Pvt. Ltd, as well as with professional societies as a life member in the IETE, ISTE and ISSS. He has delivered more than 50 technical talks and hands-on sessions during national events/training programmes in educational institutes and industries. He was honored by the WIPRO under Mission 10X forum with publishing his session plan among the best three session plans in WIPRO bookrack series.
