Rakhesh Singh Kshetrimayum received his BTech degree in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, India, in 2000 and his PhD degree from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, in 2005. From 2000 to 2001, he worked as a Software Engineer with Mphasis Pune.
Following his PhD thesis submission in 2004, he did his postdoctoral research at the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore between 2004 and 2005, and at Pennsylvania State University, USA, for a further three months in 2005. He then joined the Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati as a faculty member later in 2005, where he is now a Full Professor.
His research areas are in the analysis and design of printed antennas/arrays, the synthesis and design of passive microstrip circuits/devices, and spatial modulation-based MIMO/optical wireless communications. He has authored or co-authored three books and over 100 international journal and conference papers in the areas of his research interests. Rakhesh is on the editorial board of multiple international journals, and is Associate Editor of the IET Journal of Engineering and Editor of the AEU International Journal of Electronics and Communications.
In addition, Rakhesh has served on the committees of several IEEE conferences in various capacities like TPC Chair of NCC 2016 and TPC co-Chair of IEEE AEMC 2015. He is the recipient of several awards including the IETE Journal of Research's Best Research-Oriented Paper award 2017 and IEEE ANTS 2017 Best Paper Award (Third Prize). He is a Fellow of the IET, UK, and a Senior Member of the IEEE, USA.
