Dr Rajib Deb received his graduate degree in Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry, and his postgraduate degree and PhD in Animal Biotechnology from the Indian Veterinary Research Institute, India. Currently he is working as Scientist at ICAR-CIRC (Central Institute for Research on Cattle), India. At present he is pursuing postdoctoral research in the School of Agricultural and Biological Sciences at the Catholic University of Goiás, Brazil, under the UNESCO TWAS Fellowship.
He has more than six years of research experience, and has published more than 20 research articles in reputed journals along with four books, and has filed four Indian patents. He has been awarded with Young Scientist Projects from the Science and Engineering Research Board of the Indian Department of Science and Technology. He has received many awards and recognition throughout his career. Currently he is working on genomics and post genomics tools for the improvement of cattle health and productivity.
