Dr Rajesh Singh

Embedded Systems

Dr Rajesh Singh is currently affiliated with the University of Petroleum and Energy Studies, India, as an Associate Professor with 15 years of experience in academia. He was awarded with the gold medal in his MTech and with honours in his BE. His areas of expertise include embedded systems, robotics, wireless sensor networks and the Internet of Things (IoT). He has organized and conducted a number of workshops, summer internships and expert lectures for students as well as faculty. He has 14 patents to his credit and has published around 100 research papers in refereed journals and conferences.

Under his mentorship students have participated in national and international competitions, including the Texas Competition in Delhi and the Laureate Award of Excellence in Robotics Engineering in Spain. Twice in the last four years, he has been awarded with a certificate of appreciation and Best Researcher Award from the University of Petroleum and Energy Studies for exemplary work, receiving a certificate of appreciation for mentoring projects submitted to the Texas Instruments Innovation Challenge India design contest, from Texas Instruments, in 2015. He was also honoured with the young investigator award at the International Conference on Science and Information in 2012.

Rajesh has published four books in the area of embedded systems and IoT with reputed publishers such as CRC/Taylor & Francis, Narosa and RI Publications. He was the editor of a special issue of the AISC book series, published by Springer, titled Intelligent Communication, Control and Devices (2018).
