Dr Raghavendra Sagar

Raghavendra Sagar, a recipient of the DST INSPIRE fellowship awarded by DST New Delhi, is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics at Mangalore Institute of Technology and Engineering, India. He obtained an MSc in Materials Science from the Department of Materials Science at Gulbarga University, India, and his PhD from the same department. He has numerous publications in various peer-reviewed international publications.

He pursued his postdoctoral studies in the Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering at IIT Madras, India, and conducted research on SOFC interconnects. His areas of research include the synthesis and characterization of nano electro ceramics using both solid state and wet chemical techniques, ARC coating for solar cells, protective coatings for SOFC interconnects and thermal barrier coatings for high temperature turbines.

Raghavendra has published more than 20 research articles in various reputed international journals and is a reviewer for many international publications. Currently, he is implementing a VGST, Government of Karnataka-sponsored CESEM project titled “Enhancement of efficiency of solar cells by various modification techniques and Synthesis/ Characterization of NLO Materials”, with two PhD candidates under his guidance.
