Guru Gobind Singh Medical College



Paramdeep Singh, MD, is an Associate Professor of Radiology at Guru Gobind Singh Medical College and Hospital, affiliated to Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, India. He has either published or presented over 50 scientific papers and projects, and is an internationally recognized expert in many areas of radiology. He is a regularly sought after and requested lecturer at the majority of conferences on radiology and health systems, and of medical symposiums throughout India as well as internationally.

He is an editorial board member of various national and international journals. His recent publications include a paper titled “Immunohistochemical analysis of thrombi retrieved during treatment of acute ischemic stroke: does stent-retriever cause intimal damage?” in Stroke. He was awarded the European Society of Radiology (ESR) Fellowship in Neuroradiology and is a recipient of many scholarships and grants. He has served as a member of various medical and scientific societies and acted on a number of institutional committees to solve medico-legal cases.

Paramdeep is recognized by his peers as a scientific and medical expert who integrates new ideas into everyday clinical practice. He is currently doing research related to cancer imaging, and has been investigating the effectiveness and utility of whole-body MR diffusion weighted imaging and PET-CT in cancer patients. He holds an MD in Radiology from Dayanand Medical College and Hospital, India, and a Fellowship in Neuroradiology from the University Hospital Freiburg, Germany. He graduated from the Government Medical College and Hospital, Patiala, India.
