Dr Pankaj Pathak

Dr Pankaj Pathak earned her PhD from the Department of Civil Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, and her Master’s in Environmental Science from Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV), India. She joined the Department of Environmental Science and Engineering at the Marwadi Education Foundation, India, as an Assistant Professor in 2015.

The main topics of her lectures for Bachelor and Master's students include solid waste management, environmental impact assessment, environmental monitoring and statistics, cleaner production and waste utilizations, and water and waste water treatment. She also undertakes work concerning e-waste management and the recycling of metal values from various e-wastes at the CSIR-National Metallurgical Laboratory in Jamshedpur, India.

Her interests and expertise include waste management (solid waste, e-waste and radioactive waste: treatment, identification and characterization of geomaterials for waste repositories), industrial ecology, and climate change. She has published several research articles in international scientific journals, contributed in book chapters, and presented her research on global platforms.
