Professor Natalia Georgieva

Institute of Forage Crops

Natalia Georgieva holds a PhD degree (2008) in Plant Science from the Institute of Forage Crops, a unit of the Agricultural Academy, Bulgaria. Currently, she is working as Professor (since 2017) at the same institute. Her fields of scientific interest include organic farming, ecological stability and adaptation of species and cultivars, energy efficiency of crop cultivation, allelopathy, water deficit, morphological, physiological and biochemical changes, composition and palatability of weeds as alternative forage sources. She has more than 100 research publications to her credit on these topics.

She has been a reviewer of papers for international journals such as the Journal of Advances in Agriculture, the International Journal of Agricultural Policy and Research, and Biological Agriculture & Horticulture. Currently, she is an editorial board member of several international scientific journals, including Research in AgricultureResearch and Reviews in Biosciences, Current Investigations in Agriculture and Current Research, and the International Journal of Agriculture Science and Food Technology.
