Mustapha Ait Rami has a PhD in Applied Mathematics (Systems & Control) from the University Paris-IX Dauphine, France. Currently, he is responsible for Research & Innovation at ENSI Tangier, Morocco. His work on diverse cutting edge projects has had a high research impact and is recognized worldwide.
His previous international academic experience includes periods at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), USA, the Chinese University of Hong Kong, the Polytechnic University of Hong Kong, the University of Würzburg, Germany, ENSTA Paris Tech, France, Picardie Jules Verne University, France, and Valladolid University, Spain.
The overarching theme of his research is to develop theories and computational techniques from convex programming to obtain quantitative and computational results in a variety of contexts with connections to system engineering, and, in general, to systems and control and estimation. His methodological approach can be viewed as a practical blend of both theory and computation.
Mustapha's contributions have pioneered novel approaches based on global optimization, semi-definite programming (optimization over the cone of semi-definite matrices) and linear programming.
