Dr Moisés R. Cesario

Heterogeneous Catalysis

University of the Littoral Opal Coast

Moisés R. Cesario has a PhD degree in physicochemical sciences from the University of Strasbourg, France, in co-supervision with the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil. Following a post-doctorate at the University of Aveiro, Portugal, he was an Assistant Professor and Researcher at the National Graduate School of Engineering and Research, France. He currently works as a Researcher at the University of the Littoral Opal Coast, France.

Passionate about research, innovation and new challenges in the field of materials for fuel cells and heterogeneous catalysis, he has participated in several research projects, namely on powder preparation of perovskite and fluorite structures-based cathode/electrolyte materials, thin film preparations and their electrochemical performances in Solid Oxide Fuel Cells (SOFCs). He has also worked with catalytic materials and their applications in classical steam and CO2 sorption-enhanced steam, and dry reforming of hydrocarbons for hydrogen and syngas (CO + H2 mixture) production. As a result of this work, he has authored articles published in journals and conference proceedings, patents, books and book chapters.

The main goal of his work has been new and cheap technologies for obtaining "clean" energy using catalytic materials prepared by techniques of easy handling. His research interests include oxygen storage materials, nanomaterials for fuel cells and reactions reforming for hydrogen production.
