Mohsen RasouliValajoozi is currently a Lecturer at the University of Tehran and the Tehran University of Art, Iran. He did his graduate work at the University of Tehran, and received his Master’s degree in industrial design (medical design) with a thesis entitled 'Interactive Foot Orthosis (IFO) for People with Drop Foot'.
He continued his education with a PhD, with a thesis titled 'The role of medical anthropology in medical design projects and health caring systems'. As the result of his bachelor degree in visual communication, he has written and reviewed several papers in the fields of graphic design and packaging. His work experience spans professional firms and educational institutions. He presently works as an industrial designer and counsellor for food industry and medical design projects.
Mohsen has published several papers in reputed scientific journals and participated in academic conferences abroad on his research interests, which focus on medical design, ergonomics in product design, medical anthropology, purchase behavior, medical anthropology, visual communication and creative thinking in design.
He has also reviewed many papers in the areas of design, education and psychology in Australia for Cogent Psychology, Cogent Education, Cogent Medicine and Cogent Social Science. Besides this, he is a member of the editorial advisory board of the Advanced Food and Nutritional Sciences Journal in Canada and a member of the Industrial Designers Society of America.
