Dr Merryn Ekberg

Dr Merryn Elizabeth Ekberg completed her PhD on the ethical, legal and social aspects of medical genetics at the University of Melbourne. She then continued her exploration of ethics and genetics as a postdoctoral fellow before moving to the UK to work as a Senior Lecturer at the University of Northampton.

Her research explores the complex ethical, legal and social issues emerging from medical genetics, assisted reproduction and stem cell science. Her most recent work has explored the ethical and legal issues arising from surrogacy and her current work is an exploration of the ethical issues emerging from embryonic stem cell science and regenerative medicine.
