Dr Maria Johann

Warsaw School of Economics



Dr Maria Johann graduated from Warsaw University's Faculty of Management and American Studies Center and received her PhD at the Collegium of Management and Finance at Warsaw School of Economics, Poland. She is currently employed in the Institute of Markets and Competition at Warsaw School of Economics. Her research interests include marketing management and services marketing with an emphasis on service quality and customer satisfaction in the area of tourism.

Her scientific record consists of about 60 publications, including books, such as Poland – EU:  the Comparative Analysis of the Standard of Living, Marketing Strategies in Tourism, Services Marketing, academic textbooks, journal articles and conference papers. She has provided training and consultancy in marketing management to various organizations including the Polish Association of Fitness & Wellness, Eurofinance and the Global Business Center.

She has previously been a Visiting Professor at the University of Richmond, USA, Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University, Georgia, and the Georgian-American University of Technology in Batumi, Georgia. She has also lectured at the University Institute in Lisbon, Portugal, the University of Economics in Bratislava, Slovakia, Atilim University, Turkey, and the Armenian State University of Economics. In addition, she was a Global Partner in Education for the Executive MBA Program at the University of Tennessee, USA.
