Professor Maria Cristina Porcu

Maria Cristina Porcu graduated with highest honours in Structural Engineering from the University of Cagliari, Italy, where she also obtained her PhD in Mechanical Construction Design. She is a tenured research scientist and Professor of Dynamics of Structures and Earthquake Engineering at MD level in the Civil Engineering School of the University of Cagliari.

Her main research interests are in non-linear time-history analysis of buildings, seismic performance, seismic design and retrofit, structural health monitoring, vibration-based methods for damage detection, and satellite data analysis to model time-dependent phenomena in civil structures. She is the author and co-author of over 40 papers in international journals, scientific books and international conference proceedings.
