Mahmoud Elhussein is a lecturer in the Geophysics Department of the Faculty of Science at Cairo University, Egypt, where he teaches integrated geophysics, mining geophysics, and potential field data applications in the field of geophysics.

He obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Geosciences at Cairo University, where he also received his MSc in Geophysics (with a thesis entitled “An integrated geophysical study of cases from Sinai Peninsula using potential field data”) and his PhD (with a thesis entitled “New approaches for solving the inverse problem with potential satellite and ground-truth datasets”). His papers and articles focus on the applications of different geophysical data.
