Lindiwe Khotseng has been the Senior Lecturer in the Chemistry Department at the University of the Western Cape, South Africa, since 2015. Prior to taking up her position in the Chemistry Department, Lindiwe had worked as the Managing Director of the ESKOM Centre for Electrocatalytic Research at the South African Institute for Materials Research, University of the Western Cape, since 2006.
Lindiwe obtained her PhD in Chemistry in 2004 and her MSc in Chemistry in 2000, both from the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa. She obtained an Honours degree in Chemistry as well as her BSc from the University of the Western Cape in 1998 and 1997 respectively.
She has published in qualified international journals and specialized books, and has presented at international chemical meetings. She obtained a DTI Techology award as the Outstanding Black Researcher. She is a professional member of the South African Chemical Institute, the Association of South African Women in Science and Engineering, and the International Electrochemistry Society.
Her fields of research include electrocatalysts for fuel cells, hydrogen storage, and electrochemistry of nanomaterials.
