Professor Legesse Negash

Legesse Negash is a Professor of Plant Physiology in the Department of Plant Biology and Biodiversity Management at Addis Ababa University, Ethiopia. He is the Founder of the Centre for Native Trees Propagation and Biodiversity Development in Ethiopia, and is also a Founding Fellow of the Ethiopian Academy of Sciences. Legesse has been a member of several national and international professional societies. He is the author and co-author of an extensive amount of peer-reviewed scientific papers, books and book chapters on topics related to the physiology, propagation biology and restoration of Ethiopia’s and Africa’s native trees. Legesse is a winner of several national and international awards, including from the Stockholm-based International Foundation for Science.
