Dr Kiran Sargar is a fellowship-trained pediatric radiologist, neuroradiologist and nuclear medicine radiologist at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, Pennsylvania, USA and Assistant Professor in radiology at Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine. He completed his radiology residency at Government Medical college, Nagpur, India. He did completed a subsequent pediatric radiology fellowship at University of Iowa. Following this he finished four years of fellowship training in pediatric radiology, nuclear medicine and neuroradiology at Washington University in St. Louis. He is certified by the American Board of Radiology and the American Board of Nuclear Medicine.
Kiran has several years of research experience in radiology, specifically pediatric radiology, neuroradiology and nuclear medicine. He is a frequent contributor to Radiographics, which is one of the premier education journals in diagnostic radiology. He has also published his research in other reputable journals such as the American Journal of Roentgenology, American Journal of Neuroradiology, Pediatric Radiology, Journal of Perinatology, and the Indian Journal of Radiology and Imaging. He is peer reviewer for multiple radiology journals including Journal of Computer Assisted Tomography, Clinical Imaging, the Indian Journal of Radiology and Imaging, and European Radiology. His research interests include pediatric oncology, pediatric neuroradiology, pediatric abdominal imaging, and pediatric nuclear medicine imaging. Kiran has presented his research at international radiology meetings including the European Radiological Society of North America, the American Society of Neuroradiology, the American Society of Head and Neck radiology, and the Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging. He has authored two book chapters on pediatric abdominal masses and pediatric radiology.
