Dr Kamlesh Kumar Yadav graduated with honors in Biotechnology from CCS University, India. He received his Master's and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degrees in Biotechnology from Jiwaji University, India. He completed his PhD research at the Defence Research Laboratory (DRDO), part of the Indian Ministry of Defence, during which he focused on midgut microbiota and its application in mosquito-borne disease management. He also worked on several other projects including rapid detection techniques development for the molecular characterization of plant and human pathogens. His research interests mainly focus on the development of novel, cheap, eco-friendly and rapid techniques for vector-borne disease management.
He has more than eight years of research and teaching experience in microbial molecular biology including vector borne disease management. Currently, he is working as a Research Scientist at GBIT Ltd in Jalna, India. Previously, he was an Assistant Professor in the Biotechnology and Microbiology Department at Noida International University, India.
He has published several research papers and book chapters in highly reputed scientific journals like PLOS One, Parasites & Vectors, etc. He is a reviewer for many national and international journals, and is an editorial board member for three. He is a life member of several scientific societies including the British Society for Parasitology, the National Academy of Vector Borne Disease, the Indian Science Congress Association, the Association of Microbiologist of India and the Asian PGPR Society of Sustainable Agriculture.
