Juanjo Mena is an Associate Professor in the Department of Education at the University of Salamanca, Spain. He completed his Master's degree (with honors) in the university's Department of Developmental & Educational Psychology in 2004, before obtaining his PhD with distinction and special mention of “European Doctor” in 2007. He is now Treasurer and National Representative of the International Study Association on Teachers and Teaching (ISATT) and is also part of the editorial board of several international journals in education.
His research focuses on teacher education, mentoring, teacher development and ICT. He has been a visiting scholar in universities in the Netherlands, Canada, Australia, Finland and Mexico, and has been recently appointed as Affiliate Professor in the Faculty of Education (Vancouver Campus) of the University of British Columbia, Canada. He also spent five years as a classroom teacher before joining the University of Salamanca as a full time professor.
