Dr Jorge Conesa-Sevilla

Dr Jorge Conesa-Sevilla obtained his BA major in biology, psychobiology, and philosophy from Humboldt State University, USA, in 1989. He obtained both an MA and a PhD in experimental psychology from the University of Toledo, USA, while pursuing studies in psychophysics and cognition. He worked for the then California Department of Fish and Game from 1986 until 1989 and undertook a research sabbatical to conduct sleep research at the University Hospital/Inselspital, Berne, Switzerland from 2004 until 2006. In 1986 he was introduced to the areas of deep ecology and ecopsychology by his mentor, Dr Bill Devall, at Humboldt State University, and he formally began publishing, teaching, and researching topics on ecosemiotics and conservation psychology in 1998.
