Dr Jiyong Wang

Nanophotonics

Université de Bourgogne Franche-Comté

Jiyong Wang obtained his Master's degree in Optical Engineering from Zhejiang University, China, in 2013. He received double PhD degrees in Physical and Theoretical Chemistry from Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen, Germany, and in Nanoscience and Technology from the Université de Technologie de Troyes, France, in 2017. He then joined the near-field optics group at the Laboratoire Interdisciplinaire Carnot de Bourgogne at the Université de Bourgogne Franche-Comté as a postdoctoral researcher.

His research interests include nanophotonics, nonlinear optics, plasmonics and surface-enhanced spectroscopy and microscopy. He is an expert in the fabrication and characterization of nano structures applied in surface-enhanced spectroscopic techniques such as fluorescence, Raman, near infrared spectroscopy and nonlinear optical spectroscopy. He is dedicated to revealing the physical and chemical natures of light-matter interactions by using the linear and nonlinear optical responses of plasmonic nanostructures. He is currently applying the related knowledge to nonlinear dynamics to produce ultra-fast laser pulses.
