Dr Ivan Izonin

Computational Intelligence

Ivan Izonin is a lecturer with the Institute of Computer Science and Information Technologies at Lviv Polytechnic National University, Lviv, Ukraine. He received his MSc degree in computer science from the Lviv Polytechnic National University in 2011 and his MSc degree in economic cybernetics from the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv in 2012, Ukraine. He received his PhD in artificial intelligence from the Lviv Polytechnic National University in 2016.

Ivan has authored more than 85 publications, including 11 patents for inventions and 1 tutorial. His major research interests are computational intelligence, high-speed neural-like systems, non-iterative machine learning algorithms, and image processing techniques. He has participated in two internationalErazmus+ projects: “Establishing Modern Master-level Studies in Information Systems” and “Structuring Cooperation in Doctoral Research, Transferrable Skills Training, and Academic Writing instruction in Ukraine's regions”. He is a Program Committee Member of several international conferences, and has won several awards: the  annual "Best Young Scientist of the Year" contest at Lviv Polytechnic National University in 2016, and the regional prize for young scientists and specialists in the Lviv region in 2017.
