Professor Inma T. Castro

Dr Inma T. Castro received her PhD degree in Mathematics from the University of Granada, Spain, in 2000. Her dissertation dealt with the analysis of some interesting models in reliability, under the supervision of R. Pérez-Ocón. She worked for the Goverment of Andalusia, Spain, as a research fellow for three years. Since 2005, she has been an Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Extremadura, Spain. In this time, she has published more than 30 papers in different journals such as Reliability Engineering and System Safety, the European Journal of Operational Research, the International Journal of Systems Science and IEEE Transactions on Reliability. Nowadays, her main research interest is stochastic modelling in reliability and maintenance.
