Dr H. Kursat Celik completed his BSc and MSc degrees at the Department of Mechanical Science Education at Kocaeli University, Turkey, and his PhD study at the Department of Agricultural Machinery at Akdeniz University, Turkey. His main research interests are related to computer-aided design and engineering; engineering simulations; structural optimisation; material testing; experimental stress analysis; design of agricultural machinery and equipment; reverse engineering; and additive manufacturing applications.
He has excellent professional and practical experience in machinery design in the manufacturing industry and academia, accumulated over the last 10 years. He has been certified as an advanced user for related engineering design and simulation software. He has taken part in funded scientific and industry joint research projects in Turkey and the UK, and has published more than 50 papers in peer-reviewed journals, congress and conference proceedings, and industrial magazines both in national and international scientific arenas. He is currently a member of academic staff at Akdeniz University, Turkey, and is also a visiting researcher at Lancaster University, UK.
