Farah Bouakrif received his engineering degree in automatic control in 1998 from the University of Jijel, Algeria, and both his Magister degree (in 2003) and his Doctorate (in 2008) in automatic control from the École Nationale Polytechnique, Algeria. Between 2003 and 2008, he was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Automatic Control at the University of Jijel.
In 2011, he received a Research Habilitation (Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches) from the École Nationale Polytechnique, and also became an Associate Professor in the Department of Automatic Control at the University of Jijel. He was promoted to Full Professor in June 2016. He has also been a visiting scholar at the Centre de Recherche en Automatique de Nancy (CRAN), Longwy, France.
Farah is closely associated with several international journals as a reviewer and editorial board member, and also serves as an international program committee member at many international and peer-reviewed conferences. His research interests include robotics, iterative learning control, repetitive control, intelligent control, decentralized control, adaptive control, passivity-based control, linear control, nonlinear control, process control and observers.
