Peter Ekundayo Mesagan is an adjunct lecturer at Caleb University, Lagos, and the Distance Learning Institute at the University of Lagos, Nigeria. He is also the Managing Director and a Lead Researcher in the Lagos-based research outfit, MGIG Global Services. He holds a BSc degree in Economics with first class honours from Obafemi Awolowo University, Nigeria, and an MSc degree in Economics with distinction from the University of Lagos.
He is a seasoned academic and researcher with several publications in both local and international journals. He has published articles in reputable journals like the Central Bank of Nigeria Journal of Applied Statistics, the Journal of Policy Modelling, Economic Issues, and Environment Development and Sustainability, among others. He is a research consultant to private firms, individuals, and government agencies in his home country.
His research interests include environmental economics, energy policy, natural resource issues, industrial economics, and macroeconomic modelling. He is also a motivational speaker and provides career assistance on a periodic basis to his mentees at several forums around the country. He is a reviewer for several international journals, and is also an editorial board member of several international journals.
Peter is currently rounding up his doctorate programme at the University of Lagos, Nigeria. He loves travelling and exploring new opportunities, while his hobbies include studying, mentoring, teaching, and researching.
