Dr Dragana Božić Lenard received her Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in English and Croatian language and literature from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Osijek, Croatia. She obtained her Doctoral degree in Linguistics from the aforementioned faculty.
She previously worked as an English and Croatian language secondary school teacher, and currently works in the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and Information Technology at the University of Osijek where she teaches English for Specific Purposes (ESP) courses.
Dragana participates in international scientific conferences on translation, phraseology, cognitive linguistics, sociolinguistics, rhetoric, applied linguistics and ESP. She has participated in three international summer schools on sociolinguistics and ESP and several domestic and international workshops. Additionally, she was awarded with a research scholarship by the British Scholarship Trust and spent two months conducting her doctoral research at Middlesex University in London.
Dragana has published a number of scientific papers in international publications. She is also a member of the editorial board of the Journal of Teaching English for Specific and Academic Purposes published by the Faculty of Electronic Engineering, University of Niš, Serbia, and a member of the Scientific Committee of the International English for Specific Purposes Teachers’ Association, the Crown Block International Scientific Review Board and ARC Solutions' Scientific Review Board.
She also prepares students for international ESP competitions, where she wins leading places.
