Professor Daniela Momete

Sustainable Development

Daniela Cristina Momete is a Professor in the Faculty of Entrepreneurship, Business Engineering and Management at the Politehnica University of Bucharest, Romania. She holds a Bachelor degree and a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering and a PhD in Engineering from the Politehnica University of Bucharest, and another PhD degree in Economics from the Bucharest Academy of Economic Studies. She conducted several education/research fellowships in the UK, France and Italy, and she successfully concluded a postdoctoral European research program at the Romanian Academy's National Institute for Economic Research.

Daniela’s research interests and expertise focus on sustainable development, energy economics, engineering education, entrepreneurship, welfare and European economics. She has authored several books and many papers published in international journals and conference proceedings based on the area of sustainable development, as well as chaired several international conferences and served as a reviewer for many papers submitted to well-known international journals and conferences. She is a member of several professional organizations including the Romanian Chemical Society, the Romanian Association for Managers and Economic Engineers, the Danube Adria Association for Automation and Manufacturing, and the World Energy Council-CNR.
