Dr Anil Panghal is an experienced Associate Professor with a demonstrable history of also working in industry. His areas of expertise include food safety management systems, food chemistry, food and beverages, food science and technology, and nutrition. He has a strong educational background and studied on an Advanced General Management Program, focused on Business Administration and Management, at IIM Calcutta, India.
He obtained his PhD in Food Technology, focusing on the topic of the molecular and physicochemical basis of the biscuit-making quality of commercial wheat varieties. He has published various research papers in reputed journals on food science, food safety and food technology.
Anil is presently working as an Associate Professor (Food Technology and Nutrition) at Lovely Professional University, India, and previously worked at Nestle as a Production Manager for around nine years.
At Nestle, he headed a team of production officers and executives along with a production team of 108 peoples and implemented TPM on various lines. He reduced non-quality costs by improving the asset intensity of various lines, reduced RM/PM losses and optimized process parameters by improving the process capability of processing lines. He achieved 100% targets in food safety and quality management systems with the help of his interdepartmental team, comprising production officers, quality department employees, engineers, production operators, mechanics and electricians.
Successful implementation of DMAIC project to resulting in increased efficiency and performance of production lines. Conducted trials for nutrition products and part of project in installation of new machines in project HCN.
