Dr Ahmad Fakharian

Ahmad Fakharian received his BS and MS degrees in Control Engineering from the University of Tehran, Iran in 1999 and 2002 respectively. He received his PhD degree in Control Engineering from Tarbiat Modares University, Iran, in 2010. He is now an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Electrical, Biomedical and Mechatronics Engineering at Islamic Azad University, Qazvin Branch, Iran.

His research interests include convex optimization, large scale systems modeling and control, microgrids modeling and control, and biological systems modeling and control. He was the recipient of a postdoctoral program award from Lulea University of Technology, Sweden, in 2010. He is currently a guest researcher at the same university, with some collaborating works in the field of control and optimization of complex and large scale systems, especially with application in smart grids.
