Dr Abhijeet Bhausaheb Shelke is an interventional cardiologist with a postdoctoral fellowship in cardiac electrophysiology. He is currently working as an Assistant Professor of Cardiology at the Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences Karad, India, and is practicing in the fields of interventional cardiology and interventional cardiac electrophysiology.

He has made numerous national and international presentations, has participated in multicenter EURO registries, and has authored publications mainly in the area of interventional cardiac electrophysiology. His recent publications are on rare cases like bronchopericardial fistula with air tamponade, and parachute mitral valve diagnosed with multimodality in adults. He has also published original articles on cardiac sarcoidosis management and radiofrequency ablation in cases of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy.

Abhijeet is a member of the Indian Heart Rhythm Society. He was a Clinical Advisor to the graduate student project Apex Pacing Simulator at Johns Hopkins Biomedical Engineering Department in 2016. He is a co-guide and mentor for PhD and postgraduate students at KIMS University. He is also a reviewer for many peer-reviewed journals related to cardiology. He has a particular interest in cardiac imaging and interventional cardiac electrophysiology.
