A century after the Spanish Flu, the world has again witnessed a new pandemic that affected the whole globe and stopped life for a long time. This book brings together studies on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic authored by distinguished, examining its effect in various fields, including education, the economy, international capital markets, banking, marketing, tourism, aviation, work life and international relations. Although there are early studies that have addressed these issues, this text presents a broader study of the pandemic, from an academic viewpoint.
Mehmet Nesip Öğün, PhD, is a Professor at the University of Mediterranean Karpasia, Northern Cyprus. He previously served as a Visiting Professor at Columbia University, as the Dean of the Faculty of Political Science at Girne American University, Northern Cyprus, and as Vice Rector of the American University in Cyprus. His research focuses on the exploitation of the Internet by terrorist organizations, as well as international security, international relations, peace support operations, and terrorism in general.
Serdar Yurtsever, PhD, is an Associate Professor at the University of Mediterranean Karpasia, Northern Cyprus. He completed his PhD at Hacettepe University, Turkey, and his research interests include the history of the Turkish Republic, the Turkish national struggle intelligence activities, nonproliferation of weapons of mass destruction, terrorism in international relations, international relations in world politics, strategy, and security.
