Hacer Hande Uysal is a Professor at the Department of Foreign Language Education of Hacettepe University, Turkey. She received her Master’s degree in English Education and her PhD in Foreign Language and ESL Education from the University of Iowa, USA. She was the founding editor-in-chief of the Journal of Language Teaching and Learning, and has published three books, seven book chapters and 13 journal articles on second language writing, language policy, and early language education. She directed an ERASMUS+ project named “A Web and School-based Professional Development Project for Foreign Language Teachers of Young Learners”, funded by the European Commission, which resulted in the creation of an online educational program for early language teachers. She also co-edited the Handbook for Teaching Foreign Languages to Young Learners in Primary Schools (2010).
