Dr Suruchi Garg is the Director and Chief Consultant at Aura Skin Institute, Chandigarh, India. She completed her post-graduate studies in dermatology at the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education & Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh, India; advanced lasers training at Alma Lasers Caesarea, Israel; and hair transplant training from the Hair Science Centre (RESTORE), Denver, US. She attained the ‘Young Dermatologist Forum Award’ at Dermacon in 2008 for her work surrounding cutaneous vasculitis, and the ‘Distinguished Scholar Award’ by the EJSR in 2020 for her contribution to the study of scarring alopecia. She is the program director of ‘Lasers and Aesthetics’ for the Indian Association of Dermatologists, Venereologists and Leprologists (IADVL). She has innovated a surgical technique for the treatment of vitiligo (LAPEEST) through faster repigmentation, and has filed an AI based patent for non–surgical facelifts through fat repositioning. Currently, she is an editorial member of Indian Dermatology Online Journal and CosmoDerma, Key Opinion Leader for Alma Lasers, Israel and BTL aesthetics, Prague, focussing on the innovation, safety and efficacy of aesthetic treatments of Asian skin types.
