Naeem Sarwar is an Associate Professor in the Institute of Agronomy, Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Technology, Bahauddin Zakariya University, Multan, Pakistan. He earned his PhD in 2011, from the University of Agriculture, Faisalabad, Pakistan, specializing in sustainable management of irrigation and nutrients in rice crop. During his doctoral studies, he was awarded with a prestigious scholarship under the International Research Support Initiative Program (IRSIP) by the Higher Education Commission (HEC), allowing him to conduct a part of his research work at the University of California, Davis, USA. Currently, he is working on different aspects of agronomy with a strong emphasis on improving nutrient use efficiency in arable crops while minimizing the environmental impact. With over 70 peer reviewed research publications, his research is widely recognized and cited. He has also edited an international book titled Modern Techniques in Rice Crop Production (2022) and authored more than 10 book chapters.
