Introduction to Nanopathology

Many new pathologies and syndromes are caused by tiny, unsuspected foreign bodies. Knowing them is essential for correct diagnoses, without which no therapy can be effective. This book is an introduction to nanopathology, a field where so much still remains to be discovered.

As happens with all scientific disciplines or those that, in any case, make use of science, medicine also grows more complex every day because we realize with ever greater evidence that apparently &8220;unsuspected&8221; agents interfere with the mechanisms that regulate the functioning of all living organisms and, obviously, also the human one. For this reason, it is increasingly essential to approach medicine in an interdisciplinary way and with a mind free from preconceptions that are not always justified and that often weigh like a burden.
This book is an introduction to nanopathology and nanoecotoxicology, and each chapter is an invitation and an incitement to those who decide to dedicate themselves to deepening the specific topic covered, because so much still remains to be discovered. Many of the pathologies and, above all, the syndromes that appear as novelties are due precisely to those very small foreign bodies, and knowing them is essential to issue correct diagnoses without which no therapy can be effective.

Stefano Montanari has a degree in Pharmacy with a thesis in microchemistry and has completed his preparation at various US centers and at the Karolinska Institut in Stockholm, Sweden. He was lecturer of Cytometry (University Carlo Bo – Urbino – Italy), lecturer of Nanotechnologies and Nanopathology at IFOA School (Reggio Emilia – Italy) and lecturer of Nanopathology at the Academy Stelior (Geneva – Switzerland). He is currently holding scientific conferences and seminars and is the author of numerous articles and books, both scientific and popular, in the field of nanopathology.

Dr Gatti has a degree in Physics and the PhD in Bioengineering. In 2012 she was honoured with an International Fellowship by the world Societies of Biomaterials and Engineering (FSBE). At present she is Vicepresident of the Nanodiagnostics Foundation. She is author of 300 articles and of 4 books on nanopathology.
