• "[Second Thoughts on Capitalism and the State is a] profoundly reflective book shows a pathway forward for academics and activists alike who are stymied by the disconnect between deep critical scholarship and emancipatory social change, yet who will still not give up the good fight."

Publication

We will agree a peer review strategy

Like all academics and publishers we recognise the value of peer review within the publication process. We offer a number of options to our authors and we will work with you to develop the most appropriate approach for your particular work.

We will agree a publishing strategy

We publish in a range of formats – hardback, paperback and eBook – and we agree a publishing strategy with each author on a title by title basis. Market requirements are the determining factor and we have an in-depth knowledge of what works best in which markets.

We always release hardback and eBook editions at exactly the same time. We have the capability to publish in colour, either in whole or in part, and the dust jacket and cover for your title will be designed in-house, in close collaboration with you. Our books are printed on high quality white 80gsm paper and the covers for hardbacks are printed on glossed and laminated 170gsm paper. All stock is FSC-approved.

We will publish your work as an eBook

Your work will be published as an eBook and we work with all the major eBook aggregators, including EBSCO, Ebrary, MyiLibrary, EBL, Gardners, Dawson and Summon. This guarantees the optimum reach for your title to academics, booksellers, distributors, institutions and societies.

You will retain the intellectual rights to your work

We believe that academics should own the intellectual rights to their work, which is why we leave these rights with authors. In order to enable us to publish your work and meet our contractual obligations we require publication and distribution rights.

Your title will always be readily available

We have a long-standing partnership with a UK-based manufacturing supplier for all of our print and distribution requirements. The strength of this relationship ensures we are able to guarantee delivery of our titles within one and three days to the UK. We also guarantee that your title will never be out of stock on our website.
