Dr Jayanta Kumar Patra, MSc, PhD, PDF, is currently an Assistant Professor at the Research Institute of Biotechnology & Medical Converged Science at Dongguk University, Republic of Korea. He has around 11 years of research and teaching experience in the fields of food, pharmacological and nano-biotechnology. His current research is focused on nanoparticle synthesis by green technology methods and their potential application in bio-medical and agricultural fields, essential oils, pharmacology of medicinal plants, and related areas. Since 2007, he has published around 90 papers in various national and international peer-reviewed journals and around 10 book chapters in different edited books. Dr Patra has also authored two books: Industrial and Environmental Biotechnology (STUDIUM Press) and Natural Products in Food, Prospects and Applications (STUDIUM Press LLC). He has another three books currently under preparation with Apple Academic Press, CRC Press and Springer. He is currently also an editorial board member of several international journals and one science magazine.
