Dr Elena Godina holds a PhD and DSc in biological anthropology, and is currently Professor of Anatomy and Biological Anthropology, Leading Researcher, and Head of the Auxology Department at the Institute and Museum of Anthropology at Lomonosov Moscow State University, Russia. She is also the Head of the Anatomy and Biological Anthropology Department at the Russian State University of Physical Education, Sports, Youth and Tourism. Elena is Editor-in-Chief of the journal Vestnik Moskovskogo Universiteta. Series XXIII. Antropologia, and is an editorial board member of publications including the Journal of Physiological Anthropology, the Journal of Biosocial Science, Collegium Anthropologicum, Acta Universitatis Carolinae Kinanthropologica. She has authored and co-authored four textbooks, five books, and 300 articles. She is also a council member of the European Anthropological Association and an Executive Committee Member of the International Association of Physiological Anthropology. Her main research interests include biological anthropology, human auxology, growth and development, and secular trends.
