Kostas Alexandris holds a PhD and an MEd (Education) from the University of Manchester, UK, and an MA in Leisure Management from the University of Sheffield, UK. He is currently an Associate Professor at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece, and a Visiting Professor at Sheffield Hallam University, UK, having previously been a faculty member in the Department of Recreation, Sport and Tourism at the University of Illinois, USA. He has published more than 70 research papers in international journals in the areas of sport, leisure and tourism management and marketing, as well as several book chapters. He is the co-author of Sport Consumer Behavior (Routledge, 2016) and the editor of Performance Measurement and Leisure Management (Routledge). His published work has received more than 4000 international citations. He is Associate Editor of the Journal of Leisure Research and is on the editorial board of Sport Management Review, Sport Marketing Quarterly, Managing Sport and Leisure, the Journal of Service Theory and Practice, the International Journal of Sport Management, and the Journal of Global Sport Management. He has considerable experience in international teaching and consultancy in the areas of business research, services marketing, service quality, branding and sponsorship.
