Hamed Al Muhrzi is an Assistant Professor in the Business Administration Department, College of Applied Sciences, Ministry of Higher Education, Sultanate of Oman. He was awarded his PhD from The University of Queensland, Australia. His PhD study focused on exploring interpretive experiences at an Omani heritage site, and on insider-outsider visitor perspectives. He also worked as a freelance tour guide and travel agent prior to his academic career. Hamed has co-edited a book on Arab Tourism within the well-established Aspect of Tourism Series as well as presented and published nationally and internationally. He has several appearances at international tourism conferences; including the second UNWTO/UNESCO World Conference on Tourism and Culture. Currently, he is a reviewer for refereed journals such as the International Journal of Contemporary Hospitality Management and International Journal of Tourism Cities. His research interests include visitors? experience, heritage tourism and interpretive experiences, Arab/Muslim tourism, and tourism knowledge production.
