"Dr. Ruchi Agrawal did Ph.D. in Biochemistry with specialization in Molecular Biology and Genetic Engineering in the year 2013 and Masters in Biophysics. She gained experience in diverse interdisciplinary research areas such as Nanotechnology, Biofuels, Biorefinery, Enzymology, Immunology and Biosensors. She worked on cutting edge technologies for ‘2nd Generation Bioethanol Production from Lignocellulosic Biomass’ and involved with the pretreatment of lignocellulosic biomass at pilot scale (250 kg/day) plant. She developed potential cocktails of synergistic enzymes (commercial /in-house, wild/ mutants), performed immobilization of enzymes on polymers/ nanoparticles for recycling of the enzymes and discovered a cost-effective dispersant for efficient saccharification of lignocellulosic biomass. She has experience in fermentation technology for Enzyme Production (Submerged/Solid fermentation) and Sugar to Ethanol fermentation (SHF, SSF, SSCF). Dr. Agrawal initiated new challenging projects based on circular economy approach to valorize biomass into value added products, green chemicals and bio-materials via Integrated Bio-Refining. Her versatility of research experience also covers microbial transformations, genetic engineering, protein purification, bio-separation, enzyme kinetics etc. She received prestigious DST INSPIRE fellowship-2010 and Young Scientist Governor Award- 2016 and visiting fellow-2017 to University of Tennessee, USA. She published more than 50 peer reviewed publications, having 550 citations and holds 5 patents in different countries. She is serving the editorial boards and review editor of several journals and publishing groups. "
